At least 15 killed in bombs near Bab al-Hawa border crossing in Syria’s Idlib

ARA News

Aleppo, Syria− At least 15 people were killed and around 20 were injured on Monday evening after two car bomb attacks at the Bab al-Hawa border crossing in the countryside of Idlib, north Syria.

The bomb attacks occurred at the road junction of the Atmeh town in the countryside of Idlib at a time where the border crossing was overcrowded with travellers and displaced people.

The attack at the Bab al-Hawa crossing, at the Turkish borders, follows a series of car bombings which targeted recently the headquarters of the Islamic Front and the Syrian Free Army −main Syria rebel groups− due to the ongoing conflict between these groups and the al-Qaeda affiliated fighters of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
