Aleppo, Syria− On Wednesday, the pro-regime warplanes launched attacks on al-Ansari neighbourhood in the city of Aleppo, northern Syria. At least one civilian was killed and six others injured.
Ismail Aziz, an activist based in Aleppo, told ARA News that the pro-Assad warplanes launched several raids on the neighbourhood of al-Ansari with guided missiles, killing one civilian and wounding six others, who were taken to a recently established field hospital in the neighbourhood.
“Two other civilians were reportedly killed as many other wounded in a similar strike by the pro-Assad warplanes on the Maysar district in the city,” said Aziz.
Meanwhile, the pro-regime helicopters dropped several explosive barrels on the rebels-held city of Azaz in the countryside of Aleppo, as well as on the town of Akhtreen without recording casualties, local sources reported.
On the other hand, opposition fighters of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) targeted on Wednesday evening gatherings of the regime military forces in Tel Zarzoor town near Sheikh Najjar village in Aleppo countryside.
Imad Hussein, civil rights activist based in Aleppo, told ARA News that fighters from the Islamic brigades of Suqur al-Izz targeted a troop carrier within the military airport of Kweris in the countryside of Aleppo with a shell of RPG type. Three regime soldiers were killed in the RBG attack as clashes erupted between the two sides in the vicinity of the airport.
